Student Memberships

We're thrilled to introduce a new program for students eager to dive into our activities throughout the school year. Members are welcome to join us at The Treehouse for as many activities as they wish, as long as the member falls within the activity's age range.

Member Benefits

Membership includes:
  • Participation in as many productions and classes as the member would like
  • Collaboration with parents on a right-sized rehearsal schedule and set of role assignments to support the member's academic needs while still allowing them to participate
  • Complimentary member admission to all workshops, shows, and events (subject to availability)
  • Two complimentary tickets to each production the member appears in
  • Leadership on creative tasks as appropriate, such as designing store windows and organizing parties
  • Access to the costume stock to borrow items for Halloween and other events
  • 10% off all store items over $5.
Members are expected to be be mentors to newer students and good stewards of The Treehouse, modelling excellent rehearsal behavior and volunteering on production builds and venue reset days. Members will be expected to sign a Code of Conduct.

Membership Levels

Grades 3-5, All-Inclusive | $1,190

The Elementary Readers level of membership is intended for students in grades 3-5 who are sincerely interested in theatre and capable of responsible behavior in our venue. Not including special events, show tickets, and workshops, here's how a schedule and budget might look:

Sample Budget & Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday

Wednesday Elementary Programs: Fractured Fairy Tales (Autumn), The Lion King Experience (Winter)

$135 + $135 = $270

Wednesday/Sunday Elementary Program: Finding Nemo (Spring)$390

The Spongebob Musical Ensemble Role, Rehearsing Sundays Only (Autumn)$390
Spring Break Shakespeare Camp
$320
One-Day Turbo Play for FCPS Days Off (October 3 and 21)$90 + $90 = $180
 Total Individually Priced $2,180
Total Member Price$1,190

Grades 6-8, All-Inclusive | $1,190

The Middle School level of membership is for students in grades 6-8 who want to do all the shows. We work especially hard to schedule middle school students in overlapping shows as sensitively as possible to avoid having any student have to be at our venue more than three times in a week. By alternating larger and smaller roles, we can maximize our Sunday time so Tuesday and/or Thursday rehearsals can be optional. We are also sometimes able to wait until one show closes before adding a student into the next show.

Not including special events, show tickets, and workshops, here's how a schedule and budget might look:

Grades 9-10

The transition into High School is a time of uncertainty, and many students are unsure of how their time will look. While most high schools in the county do a musical, few freshmen and sophomore students get a chance for significant roles and creative leadership challenges. We want to continue to support our students during this transition time, take advantage of the expertise they've developed with us, and encourage them into greater leadership roles. High School students have several options for membership:

All-Inclusive Membership, exactly as above for Grades 6-8 $890
Plays and/or Design Only, exactly as above for Grades 6-8$490
All-Inclusive Membership, plus taking on a significant creative role in our season (to be mutually agreed on)$590

Grades 11-12

We are delighted to tailor leadership opportunities for Grades 11-12. How can we support your performing arts journey? Want to take on a leadership role? Need a stage for your own show? Need SSL hours? Something else? EMAIL us.
